1976 GMC classic motorhome for sale by owner.
Hi there, Daniel here.
I am a disabled veteran, and years of chronic illness and 3 motor vehicle accidents have reduced my physical abilities greatly, leaving me unable to finish this project. I am selling this GMC classic motor home at a huge loss, I need to get out from under the payments I am making on it.
Originally a Palmdale model, the interior of the GMC has been re-insulated with a high tech insulation to an r-28 value, and finished with real wood paneling. The bathroom has the toilet and shower installed, and needs a folding door and some finish work. The original hot water heater has been replaced with a brand new electric on demand water heater. It comes with a used, full size refrigerator, the propane oven and sink need a counter top installed to complete the kitchen area. The living/social area is open, I was going to finish it with as much storage as possible. There is a bed area in the back, with many storage compartments, closet, and a foam mattress.
The air conditioner that was purchased for it did not work, and we were unable to get a refund, so the housing for it is empty. The housing for it and the storage compartment are both mounted securely to the roof, and the rear ladder is mounted very securely as well. The air bags are still fully functional, however they will not hold for more than 5-7 days. The motor home has been repainted white, the tires are fair to good, and are mounted on 1 piece rims. The speedometer reads 99,124.6 miles driven. The Olds 455 cu inch v8 runs good, and has an after market choke installed. The linkage for the shifter seems to be somewhat loose, but you can find all the gears. There is a spare tire mounted on the rear under the ladder. I haven’t driven the motor home very much, so I am not sure of performance on the open road.
To complete the project, the gas stove needs to be installed, and the oven door handle repaired. There is a wall mount for a small table, and your choice of counter top needs to be installed. The front area is open to do with as you choose.
Thanks for looking at my ad, and I should be available by phone from around noon, to 9pm or so. I am located in Grants Pass, and I will make directions available to any who would like to come take a look. I return calls as best I can, my coverage here in this little canyon is spotty, if I don’t answer, I will call you back so be sure to leave me a message. Thanks again,
