Description & More Pictures
This is my 76 GMC Coach that I’ve been working on for several years. I’l try to do my best to describe everything, upgrades, repairs, and little “yet to be fix’s” with pictures.
Engine: Rebuilt 455 Oldsmobile. The previous owner claims that both the engine and transmission were rebuilt and the motor was blue printed. Drivetrain had about 30k on it at the time I purchased it. Since then I’ve driven it around town, took it to Toas NM and back. I went through the engine, cooling and fuel system and made some upgrades.
~ Holly Sniper Electronic throttle body.
~ Edelbrock performance intake manifold.
~DUI Distributor that I had specifically tuned for this engine and load. (new plugs and wires)
~Heavy duty 12 blade clutch fan
~ New hoses and fittings
~ New started with double heat resistance wrap.
~ Headers with glass heat wrap.
~ Amsoil fluids; transmission, engine, cooling system.
Everything check out and passes emissions here in Colorado.
~ New Michelin Tries all around including spare.
~ Front wheel spacers to improve handling.
~ Brake system was purged and inspected.
~ Rear Independent air bags with isolation valves.
~ both fuel tank were professionally cleaned and chemically lined.
~ New duel fuel pumps.
~ New sending units and fuel lines.
~ Integrated new Aux fuse box and relay switch with inline cutout breaker.
~ ROVER 160 watt solar panel with 60AMp inverter
~ New AC/DC fuse bus
~ New led lighting throughout, even headlight are led.
~ Honda generator
~ Custom 1/8 aluminum plate dash cluster with new vintage gauges.
~ Duel Amp 8 speaker W/Subwoofer Stereo system. Infinity Kappa speakers. Head unit is backup camera ready, I just haven’t installed it yet.
~ R13 Denim insulation plus radiant barrier throughout.
~ PEX plumbing
~ Upgraded freshwater tank sending unit and pump, also includes an inline city water filtration system.
~ Replaced bathroom fan.
~ Replaced toilette.
~ New holding tank, valves and sending unit.
~ Matching Ash butcher block counter top and dining table.
~ Custom “denim” stained douglas fir paneling with stainless steal fasteners.
~ 3/4″ Tung and groove ceiling
~ Rebuilt refrigerator/cabinet compartment.
~ New aluminum blinds
~ Reupholstered front seats, dining area couches, and sleeping quarters.
~ Under cabinet lighting as well as inner cabinet lighting.
~ Original refrigerator with a new control board. Range is also original and checks out.
~ Replaced the center AC unit with a new one from a Mercedes RV.
~ The roof was refinished with a white Urethane Truck bed liner material, it’s smooth, when I replaced the clearance lights and one of the AC units
A few things that need should be addressed are the outside window seals and exterior paint condition are ready to be redone.
The fuel gauge reads incorrectly due to an incapable Ohm reading between the sending units and the gauge. Sending unit for the LP tank needs to be replaced since it does. not give a reading anymore.
Needs an AC inverter, the coach is already wired for it, just needs to have it installed.
AC/heater unit was replaced but I think I have the vacuum hoses mixed up, so it could use some looking into.
Tow hitch needs to be replaced.
Thanks for checkin out my Coach, if you have any questions just let me know. I’m ready to let this one go so feel free to make me an offer.
