Description & More Pictures
1973 gmc glacier motor home. I bought this with every intention of completely restoring her but life got in the way. I would rather see her go to a good home but I am in rush to sell so please no lowball offers, thanks.
Here is what she has:
455 engine, oldsmobile engine, trans is an auto 3 speed, front wheel drive drivetrain 2wd, 106k original miles. Right after I bought it I had fisher gmc in so cal do a bumper to bumper check and had gas lines replaced to fuel tanks (big job since the gas tank and transmission needs to be dropped), new roof top ac, 6 kilowatt onan generator serviced, new batteries, checked the propane furnace and hot water heater, 40 gallon water tank.
Runs and drives great. New cushions throughout. Has sofa that turns into bunk beds, a dinette table that also turns into bed and two sofa sleepers that turn into one bed in back. Original paint that just needs buffing. The tires have lots of tread but they are older.
I do have six chrome wheel covers as seen in the first picture on here. All tags are current. Since it is a 1973 it never has to be smog checked here in california. It has only been a california vehiocle so there is no rust on the frame.
The gmc motor homes built between 1973-1978 are collector vehicles. Through local fmca (family motor coach association) chapters, a vigorous web forum, and some devoted vendors, and an informal but highly effective roadside assistance program the gmc motorhome remains one of the best supported rv’s on the road.
If you are not familiar with them watch this:
I have exactly $9,600 into her and would love to break even. Obo
Will consider a trade for a harley road king or bagger or other motorcycle or what have you?
